We're Getting There - Starting to REALLY BUILD the Inside of our Sailing Boat [EP.17]

The planets have aligned, and we're back to confuse the algorithm, once more with another update on our Cobra 750 build, named Firefly. Since the last episode, where we finally got the frames built for the main galley seating (and my son's bed), the starboard quarter berth, the framework for the head, and a complete new build of the framework for the v-berth, we have since been getting on with boarding things up, and trying to bring some life to the inside of our sailing boat. I have been around tools, and precision measuring as someone working in and around engineering for a long time, but we are not carpenters, and working with wood can be a lot more difficult than people think if you don't have an affinity with it. Had it been steel and a welder, we'd have been fine. So it was difficult to do, we made mistakes, and re-did some things along the way. I dare say we will do that even more as we carry on. But the point is, we are carrying on. Firefly is slowly, but surely, coming to life, and we are excited to see how she feels when she has cushions, and electronics, and the stove on, etc. Will she be like other Cobra 750s? I doubt it, but she will be solid, she will work, and she's ours. Stay tuned for more. We've been canoeing and kayaking over the summer (we have just joined a canoe club, too), and there's still a lot to do on both Firefly and Scooby Sue (friend Brian's, boat), over the winter. We are also likely to restore our GRP rowing boat that we bought to use as a tender, in a separate video. Furthermore, we then have the engine to sort, the prop and shaft, and the rudder. Still plenty to be on with. Not only that, but we need to somehow finish the boats and slowly get the channel oriented towards not just boat repairs and boat work, but to actually adventuring.
