BIG Water Rainbows (Fly Fishing the North Branch Potomac River)

This was much bigger water than I'm used to fishing but the North Branch of the Potomac River is home to some big Rainbow and Brown Trout. The river forms the border between West Virginia and Maryland and the tailwater below the Jennings Randolph Lake Dam is mostly wadeable. There are several public access points maintained by the West Virginia Department of Natural Resources. Savage Flies is a project with the mission of encouraging as many people as possible to get into fly fishing and tying.
