Wet Rabbit V10 Upper Upper Chaos Canyon

(Shorty Beta) Finally sent Wet Rabbit V10 in Upper Upper Chaos Canyon Rocky Mountain National Park. This boulder gave me hell! I tried this boulder for multiple days before coming to the conclusion that i could not do it with the standard beta. There is pretty straight forward beta for this climb, but I just did not fit in the box. Every move required my full extension and I could not hold the tension or move out of the positions required. Once I realized I wouldn't do it this way I began to think outside the box. It took me a few days to come up with a sequence that made sense, but i finally figured it out. The new method required just as much tension only in a much smaller box using much worse foot and hand holds. I managed to climb the boulder multiple times in two pieces, but couldn't connect the dots. The new crux required perfect friction on two bad holds which I get as double gastons. The feet were also small and needed to be placed perfectly. I fell on the move to the slot many times and almost gave up entirely. Luckily I didn't give up because on this day it finally went down on my third try of the night. After doing it I was so happy to have found a way up this climb with new shorty beta. I love finding sequences that make boulders go from impossible to possible. Comparing this boulder to other 10's I've done this one felt much harder FOR ME. It took me many more days than most 10's. That being said I did see this boulder get flashed or taken down within a few tries multiple times during my battle with it. All those ascents were done using the standard beta which I did not have access to. So maybe it just felt harder because of the way I had to do it. I definitely don't think my beta makes it easier, but its the only way I could do it and I believe it is harder than the standard beta. Over all this boulder is awesome which ever way you do it.
