As well as sports mode and paddles on the 8 speed gearbox, our 520d has BMWs super dynamic drive control which allows you to select between 3 driver modes (Comfort, Sport and Sport+). The Dynamic drive adjusts the cars damping and responsiveness - It is important to have this on a 5 series as the Sport setting makes the car feel far more nimble and willing - especially pleasing on a twisty B road if you are a keen driver.
