Heavy Train Gets A Good Run At A Steep Grade & Then Needs 3 Locomotives To Keep It Under Control Going Down A Long Hill. Conductor In Locomotive On End Of Train Is In Charge. The first train is short line railroad Cincinnati Eastern Railroad CCET. We chase the heavy rock train westbound from Mount Orab, Ohio through Williamsburg and Batavia, Ohio. This train worked Afton Yard after I filmed it the first two times. While it was working the yard I filmed Purina as an update. Purina should go online Next July and is expected to generate 300 cars a month. Purina will have 8 or 9 switches, a half mile long tail track and about 13,000 feet of track. I wanted to post the train going through Batavia again because the first time that I posted it I didn't mention that the locomotive on the rear was manned and the conductor in charge was in it using radio to communicate with the leading locomotive engineer. People who said the locomotive was being pulled for switching duties are wrong. It was actually operating. We also see a steam powered passenger train that I recently filmed at Cass, West Virginia on the Cass Scenic Railroad.
