We have been researching on the best spot to witness our very first Total Solar Eclipse, and finally we chose Palu, Sulawesi to be our spot. We also learnt that there was gonna be an Eclipse Festival and our friend Brian is also going to perform there. After a week of discussion, we bought the ticket 3 days before the event started. We went there without buying a ticket to the festival, thinking we will just show up and volunteer to either be the videographer crew or waste management team. Arriving there, we got in contact with the volunteer cordinator and we got in without any problems. Not long after, the cordinator (Heather) showed us where we can put our tent, the place where we gonna be living for the next week. SO COOL! On the third day, we finally witness the Total Solar Eclipse. It was… MIND BLOWING! We never experienced such a beautiful thing, and the greatest thing of all, this comes naturally from mother nature. Right before the moon started to cover the sun, the music suddenly stopped, there was no sound at all. We could only hear the breeze, the leafs falling, and all the birds around us chirping non-stop. The colors of the world suddenly changed to something that we have never seen before. Right after the sun was back out, we decided to start chasing Total Solar Eclipse for next years to come. It was an easy decision after experiencing it for the first time. And this is also why we recommend you guys to experience it yourself, because to us, no words or even video can describe what we felt, which was spiritual and magical at the same time.
