If you are interested in joining the Budohall group to discuss this technique and others like it, please go to: / yasuragidojo This technique is the first kata of the Koto Ryu Koppojutsu Shoden Gata. On the surface, it seems like a complex and somewhat bizarre movement in my opinion. However, the truth of the form comes alive and reveals an extremely efficient and fast technique quite rooted in to-the-point self defense. In this video, I also detail the ura gata, as taught by Unsui Sensei. This was for demonstration, and absolute caution should be exercised if you wish to study this under the direct supervision of a teacher.
