I spent a month solo bikepacking through Japan

It is an extremely wild experience to be solo in a place unfamiliar to you for such a long time, especially when you don’t know the language. This trip was draining, both mentally and physically. However, I cannot name a more rewarding experience in my life so far. The amount that I’ve learned about myself and how to take initiative in my own life is unparalleled. I learned to truly enjoy being in my own presence, something that has been very hard for me to do. I am very thankful for this adventure and I think that everyone should give a trip like this a try. I am thankful for everything that happened on this adventure. And I am proud of my determination and perseverance throughout it all. My final route was from Tokyo to Fukuoka. It took me 18 days of dedicated biking to complete 1080 miles (~1750 km). I can’t wait to do more of these trips in the future. Thank you Japan.
