Freestyle Skiing in the 80's at Ausblick Ski Club in Sussex, Wisconsin, in 1985 & 1986

These videos were filmed on a 1985 Zenith Video Movie VHS-C VM 6000 Camcorder in 1985 and 1986 at the Ausblick Ski Club in Sussex, Wisconsin. We would start by checking the snow conditions in the morning to see how fast the snow was, to determine how big the jump could be, and how far from the landing to build the jump. This was a lot like the Evil Knievel method of building jumps by making the best guess, with some of the same results. We had a very short and not so steep landing area, especially compared to today's standards. These video clips were from some of the days that we had, for the most part, got it right.
