Our favourite campsite is just one hour from home and now we need your help. Pubs, bakeries, quiet villages and campervan life. Plus three local campsites we are thinking of visiting next. This month’s topic is our favourite campsites within an hour of where we live, and for us that was an easy choice, even though we are still campervanning newbies. We are sharing why Ashridge Farm Caravan and Motorhome Club Site in Ashwell is our current top pick. It is a fantastic Caravan and Motorhome Club site with excellent facilities, friendly wardens and a beautiful village just minutes away. Within easy walking distance you will find three pubs, a brilliant local bakery and plenty of quiet village walks. It is welcoming, peaceful and surrounded by lovely countryside, everything we enjoy about campervan travel. We are also choosing between three campsites within an hour of Cambridge for our next trip with Teddy the camper van, and we would love your recommendations. Commons Wood Caravan and Motorhome Club Site Near Welwyn Garden City in Hertfordshire, with great shopping, wide streets, Roman baths and interesting local history. Bright Meadow Caravan Park Near Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk, close to the Abbey Gardens, cathedral, markets, National Trust sites and beautiful countryside. Hatter’s Meadow Campsite Just outside Ely in Cambridgeshire, a more back to nature campsite close to the cathedral, markets, arts festival and the Stained Glass Museum.
