The concept was first introduced by Benjamin Graham in his book, The Intelligent Investor and then improved by successful investors like Warren Buffett, Seth Klarman, Charlie Munger and others. While everyone understands the concept, there is very little literature on how to calculate margin of safety or how to quantitatively assess its presence or absence. In this video, I shall present three unique ways of calculating margin of safety.
