In the eastern part of the Democratic Republic of Congo, more than 6 million people have lost their lives due to the conflict since 1998. I am currently in the Kalonge region of South Kivu province in eastern DR Congo. In this video, I visit an elementary school in the eastern part of the Democratic Republic of the Congo to show you what it is like in the classroom. It also gives an insight into life in Congo through an interview with a young girl who lost her parents in the conflict.
