The Kentmere Horseshoe // The Lake District

This has to be - without a shadow of doubt - one of the best horseshoe/ridge walks in the Lake District! Starting in the picturesque village of Kentmere near Kendal you're treated very early on in the walk to some outstanding views looking back along the valley. But soon the views really open up looking out to the west and eventually the whole route becomes clear to see when you reach Yoke; the first summit of the day. I loved this walk from start to finish. Relatively few people, incredible views and a real sense of remoteness make this one of my all-time favourite Lakeland walks.
