In recent years, LWG Bayern, Köppl, and Robot Makers worked on autonomous mowing systems for effective biodiversity-promoting care. The Köppl crawler comes with a variety of tools to automate virtually any task. With the SelfDrive system, your standard crawler is easily upgraded with autonomous functions 😍 For Robot Makers, the seamless integration of GPS and perception-based navigation was the central topic. Between the panels and at the headlands, RTK GPS is used and also to track working progress. With the construction plans at hand, teachin effort is minimal 🦾 Yet, under the panels, there is no GPS signal available🤔 The system seamlessly switches to perception-based navigation which is proven in the industry with many thousands of hectars already.
