Hey everyone!! Thank you so much to everyone who has watched my Tokyo and Hong Kong blogs every week, I appreciate you all so much🥹 this was the longest little series I’ve filmed and uploaded so far and I’ve loved looking back on the amazing trip we had, and it’s also getting me so excited for the last couple of trips I have booked for the year (which I’ll also bring you along for of course🤭) To end this series we thought we’d sit down for more of a chatty style video to go through the planning and booking process! When we first started planning our trip we found that there wasn’t much information on the process and it’s definitely a lot more complicated than booking a trip to Walt Disney world for example. Within the video we also talk through the costs of the whole trip and also give you some of our top tips that we picked up along the way. If you have any questions about the trip or the booking process just pop them in the comments of send me a message on instagram and I’ll do my best to answer them✨ I’ve got a new series starting this week from my 3 day trip to Disneyland Paris so I’ll see you on Friday for the brand new vlog🥹 I’ve also made a list below of all the tips so that they’re all in one place rather than spread out across the video! Top tips: If you want to book a Tokyo Disney vacation package, select ‘no restaurant’ on the booking page to make it considerably cheaper overall! Take an empty suitcase. You will 100% shop and buy more than you were expecting. Everything is a lot cheaper than the UK (or the US parks when in Disney) so you will want to buy more than you think once you’re there… be prepared! Book premier passes in the parks. If you’re only visiting the Tokyo Disney parks for a short amount of time like we did, book the fast passes! You will thank yourself later and we were definitely happy to pay up to £15 to skip the 3 hour queues. Consider layover flights to make travel costs lower! We found flights that only added 2 hours extra onto the travel compared to the direct flight and were under half the price! Make a list of snacks you want to try! There’s no WiFi in the parks so having a list and knowing where you want to eat saves you being on your phone and using your data! Take cash with you! Cash is still used a lot in Tokyo compared to the UK and some places/ restaurants don’t accept card so I’d definitely recommend taking some with you. Add your suica card to your apple wallet before you arrive in Tokyo. Download the app and watch a YouTube video to follow the instructions of how to add it… there’s no option to change the app to English so it’s all in Japanese. For Hong Kong they use ‘octopus’ card for their metros. They have a tourist version of the app, this was a lot easier to navigate than the suica app but I’d still recommend downloading before you arrive. If you have any allergies or medical conditions, take allergen cards with you that have the language translations on. This was super helpful in Tokyo Disney as most cast members didn’t speak English!
