Sam shamoun Shamounian Halal Hogan explains to a protestant christian that has been on God logics stream the difference between catholics/catholicism and Orthodox/Orthdoxy Christians they both have the same doctrines of salvation of it being baptism , specifically regeneration baptism , infant baptism and one baptism for the forgiveness of sins , they accept the eucharist , communion of saints , praying to mary , confession to priest but through the schism they have 2 main differences that unfortunately set them apart which it being the filioque which is a statement added to the nicene creed for the universal christians that are from the apostolic church founded by Jesus and the apostles that say “and the son” which the holy spirit proceeds , while the orthodox only have the father which is a theological debate they have had over 100s of years and the 2nd major difference being the papacy and if it’s taught in the bible the catholics say yes and that’s why we have pope francis and the orthodox say no there is no higher seat of the apostles but the seat of peter is special but not higher than the others also a very long discussion that is very informative from both sides , this is good to know for the protestants such as methodists , bapstists , wesley , lutheran , calvanist , anglican , non, Presbyterian , denomational churches and other sects and religions of christianity that are trinitarians and believe in the trinity (Father, Son, Holy Spirit) as being God and ending off the video with same explaining his position on what denomination is sam shamoun Like/Share Subscribe!
