dear viewers this is a selected part of an answer regarding tasawwuf (mysticism) during a class held by maulana amin ahsan islahi. according to the thoughts of amin ahson islahi tasawwuf is a parallel religion. no sought tasawwuf has some good teachings but there is a huge amount of teachings that are not acceptable in Islam, as he says we do not find any sign of mysticism in Islam and especially from the life of the Prophet Muhammad PBUH. maulana Amin Ahson islahi do not consider any scholar worthy and capable regarding the study of tasawwuf except few Islamic scholars like Shah Wali Ullah, ibn ul Arabi, Ghazali, and imam qasheri because of their stronghold on Quran and sunnah that's why he only studied these scholars on mysticism, but amin ahsan islahi respect them but he does not agree with them on the existence of tasawwuf.
