We had several hail storms but we are out this time to enjoy some overnight wild camping in the Brecon Beacons. I am out with Dan of Camp Life Bushcraft for two nights camping and an assent of Pen-y-Fan with Corn Du and Cribyn either side. This is part 2. Having been caught out last night on the fells wild camping by a Ranger, we were keen to avoid causing any upset during our second night out. We arrived yesterday and camped on the ridge just off the summit of Corn Du. Today, having continued over Corn Du and Pen-y-Fan, we pick up the adventure in this video during our morning coffee stop just off Pen-y-Fan. I must say that we kept worrying about our second night out, having met the Ranger last night. It is not that we felt we were doing anything particularly wrong as we totally support the idea of “Leave No Trace”, pitch up late and be gone early, but we just wanted to avoid any difficulty. We decided to find a spot for our second night well off the regular path and tucked out of sight as much as possible.
