I run FISHER snowplows, I never have issues, probably because I take care of my equipment. I believe WESTERN and SnowEx use identical wiring, and I'm sure this applies to other brands. It also applies to spreader, sander, salters. Keep all plug covers in the truck when not in use, so they stay clean. As far as sealant/corrosion prevention I my preference is the Grote stuff. As far as Poly-Caster, Tornado, Ice Chaser if you store the unit in the upright position, be sure to remove the large electrical plug cover from the unit and orient/secure it so the cover is on top, as not to allow rain to get in. If you store it outdoors uncovered, the way the factory has it oriented, the plug cover is upside down and it will fill with rainwater.
