[This chant has been made with the purpose to help one to learn Hanuman Chalisa by heart easily.] Hanuman Chalisa, was written by Tulsidas who lived centuries ago in India. The Hanuman Chalisa casts Hanuman as the ideal of a devotee. The string of verses in the chant tells the story of devotion and love of Hanuman to Lord Ram. Tulsidas was a poet-saint, a reformer and philosopher renowned for his devotion for Rama. A composer of several popular works, he is best known for being the author of the epic Ram charit manas, a retelling of the Ramayana in the vernacular #Awadhi language. There are 2 couplets in the beginning and one couplet at the end and in between are the 40 verses of Hanuman Chalisa. (“Chalis” means forty) Hanuman remained as the 'das' (servant) of Lord Sri Ram and helped the Lord in all the problems He faced. It is believed that Lord Hanuman comes to rescue the one who chants the Hanuman Chalisa in utter devotion.
