DW8XL: Defense of Mt. Dingjun - Hypothetical Objective Guide

Objective: Prevent Liu Bei from being hurt. Reward: Unlock Revenge at Yiling stage. Fulfilling the objective is pretty easy, just get to Liu Bei before he takes too much damage. After that nothing else really matters, but I'll explain how to do the strategy. First, defeat the enemies directly around the main camp. Now go after Liu Bei up the mountain path on the west. After rescuing Liu Bei, now you have to follow Fa Zheng's advice and lure in the enemies. Doing this you can defeat a few of the officers around here, but not too many, so just waste time until Liu Bei starts moving. You may have to go and capture two forts below the mountain if your allies haven't already, but they can usually do it on their own by the time you're told to. HOWEVER, if you are playing as Fa Zheng do NOT jump down to go capture those forts. Because after they are captured, Fa Zheng HAS to be next to Liu Bei to say his line telling Liu Bei to retreat. If he doesn't, Liu Bei will never retreat and will just stay up there the entire time and kill all the enemies himself before you even go back up the mountain path to get to him again. This, somehow, result in the strategy failing. So just stay up there and let your allies capture the forts. That happened to me 3 TIMES before I figured out why the hell Liu Bei wasn't moving. Well whatever, the objective itself is easy, so just win the stage after you rescue Liu Bei before he takes too much damage. I was playing on Hard, but you can do this on any difficulty.
