The things you see and hear from the floor of DSA'24 sometimes make one wonder, what else is in our military inventory. Drone is not new to our Armed Forces but we fall behind with time, leaving a huge technology gap within the force. At the JOUAV booth, a number of new and upgraded drones were being featured. We have heard that one of the models at the display (an older model) is in operation with a wing of the Armed Force. However, there is no confirmation from the drone developer. Two drones were displayed at the Army booth. One is the bright orange SCRAB II target drone. This high-speed jet engine powered drone is used mainly by the Army's air defence unit GAPU. A surprise was to see a loitering munition drone, the WarbleFly in their booth as well. Developed by MPS, this compact loitering munition uses vision-guided technology for high-precision execution and can be safely recovered by deploying a parachute. Only heard of the unit currently testing the drone and again, no confirmation.
