This song was written to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Sri Lanka Police Sub-Inspector Batch of 2001, which falls on 14 January 2026. As a batchmate, I deeply appreciate their dedication, sacrifices, and the journey we have shared over the past 25 years, despite serving in different contexts, locations, and ranks. Today, two of our batchmates Mr. Kalinga Jayasinghe and Mr. Pavithra Dayarathna serve as Deputy Inspectors General of Police, while six others hold the rank of Assistant Superintendent of Police. Many others courageously lead police stations and carry out vital responsibilities across the country.
