I've had a lot of people tell me that Cataclysm: Dark Days Ahead looks cool but the learning curve is too steep to even get started, so I decided to put together a day one tutorial. This guide covers basic inputs and how to secure shelter, water, fire, and food on day one of the Cataclysm. This guide is for Cataclysm-DDA experimental build 2022-05-21-1937. The game is in constant development and everything shown here is subject to change. Experimental builds update daily and can be found at https://cataclysmdda.org/experimental/ If you're playing on the older 0.F Stable, you won't be able to get pipes from lockers, which leaves you unable to craft a crowbar and get a 60 liter tank.
