Foiling and the adventure it offers is my favorite sport, on or off the water, because it's a whole new world! Foils are an entirely different feeling because they are one of the few things in the world where we get to ride a wing rather than a board. Dating back to the 1800's, foils go farther back in history than I ever considered! In my opinion, foils are the fastest growing watersport worldwide, and the technology is advancing even faster. But they started somewhere, so when I ran into my good friend Mike Murphy at a boat show and we both agreed that we needed to meet up and chat about some foil history.
