Today I’m unboxing a massive Memoria Press curriculum order that will cover the next three years of our learning from Kindergarten all the way through Fourth Grade. This entire order comes from the Memoria Press Charter School (secular) program, and I was heavily influenced while planning it by DDCHomeschool. Her curriculum walkthroughs and videos were incredibly helpful while I was researching Memoria Press, and I’m truly grateful for the guidance she shares with the homeschool community. In this video I open and walk through a very large curriculum order that includes materials for language arts, literature, geography, Latin, French, logic, music appreciation, art study, handwriting, and math. Many of these materials will guide our learning over the next several years. Memoria Press has become one of the most meaningful parts of our learning routine because the lessons are structured, thoughtful, and surprisingly rich in conversation. Many of the lessons look simple on the surface, but they naturally create so much dialogue between my son and me through narration, discussion, memory work, and storytelling. Some of the materials included in this order: • Kindergarten, First Grade, and Second Grade Curriculum Manuals • Simply Classical Curriculum Level 3 • Introduction to English Grammar • English Grammar Recitation and flashcards • Introduction to Grammar School Latin • First Start French • Core Skills Language Arts 3 & 4 • Introduction to Composition • Traditional Logic I • States & Capitals curriculum • Geography I: Middle East, North Africa, and Europe • Geography flashcards and wall maps • Music Appreciation I • Literature studies including Little House in the Big Woods, Prairie School, The Moffats, Sarah Noble, and Tales from Beatrix Potter • Brambly Hedge literature studies • Copybooks and New American Cursive • Art cards and enrichment materials • Math challenge books and geometry resources This was a major curriculum investment covering the next 36 months, and I wanted to share the full unboxing along with a closer look at the materials we’ll be using in our after-school learning routine. If you enjoy seeing real lessons, curriculum walkthroughs, and homeschool planning, I would love for you to follow along.
