A Complete Guide to Sharan Forest | All Details for Best Camping Location

Join me on an exciting adventure to Sharan Forest in the beautiful Kaghan Valley! Last year, we embarked on a 6-hour drive from Islamabad to reach the mesmerizing Sharan Forest. We parked our car at the nearest gas station for 400 PKR per night and then set off towards the forest on a thrilling jeep track that took us 1.5 hours and cost 6000 PKR. We arrived at the forest around noon and booked the camping pods placed by the KPK government. These cozy pods come in two sizes, with the smaller ones having 2 beds and a shared bathroom, while the larger ones (which we opted for) have an individual bathroom and 4 beds. During our stay, we explored two amazing tracks from the Sharan Forest. One led to a 2.5-hour hike towards Manshi Top, a beautiful hilltop with stunning views of the valley, while the other was a 30-minute trek down to a mesmerizing waterfall where the Kunhar River was flowing at its peak. Although we couldn't make it to Manshi Top, we did get to witness the breathtaking beauty of the waterfall. If you're planning a trip to Sharan Forest in winter, December or May, you'll want to take note of the road conditions and choose the appropriate vehicle for the journey. For an added adventure, consider a bike tour or a jeep ride along the scenic roads. If you're interested in glamping, the camping pods are a great option to stay in the heart of the forest.
