Meet Evan Sharpe (Stellarton, NS)

Working at Kent is the first full time job Special Olympian, Evan Sharpe, has ever had. It gives him a great sense of pride and it makes him feel good to come in to work every day. He is described by his coworkers as a huge asset to the team. “His product knowledge is outstanding. Any questions we ever have, he’s our go-to guy.” Customers make a point of looking for Evan when they come to the store and one of the aspects that he enjoys the most about his job is helping them find what they need to finish their projects. Born and raised in Stellarton, Nova Scotia, Evan has had a love and aptitude for sports since a young age. In addition to being a strong solo swimmer, he puts his team player mentality to good use as the Skip for the Pictou County Special Olympics team. Evan has won several bronze, silver and gold medals in both events over the years and continues to compete. ------------------------- Please be advised this video was produced prior to the COVID-19 pandemic.
