Our trip included staying at village-based accommodation with catered traditional meals while exploring the surrounding splendour including: Mzamba Fossils, Petrified Forest, Mkambati Nature Reserve- A biodiversity hotspot-Mkambati Falls, Strandloper Falls, Baboon Rock and Horseshoe Falls. A further bonus was the Paradise Pools, a fourth waterfall, Mfundeni Lookout and Mzamba Bridge. We only had three days but in ideal world, a fourth day could be dedicated to kayaking up the Mtentu-river to explore the many waterfalls hidden within its gorges.
