Mr. Nikhileshwar from Hyderabad was diagnosed to have Osteomyelitis of the skull base. He had longstanding right ear discharge, parotid region swelling and upper neck nodes. He had been to several doctors and received several forms of treatment including surgery. He then got in touch with Team BSBI led by Dr. Sampath Chandra Prasad Rao. He underwent subtotal petrosectomy with blind sac closure with selective neck dissection and superficial parotidectomy. Post operatively his histopathology report showed tuberculosis which was managed medically with ATT. He had HB grade III facial paralysis which recovered to grade I over 6 months. He is extremely happy with the outcome of the surgery & leading a normal life.
