💂🎖️Anyone interested in the military history, should find some time and visit the second largest museum in Warsaw - the Museum of the Polish Army. The only museum in Poland, where you can learn about the history of the Polish Army from its beginnings in the X century to the end of World War II. Highlights include a gothic reliquary captured at the Battle of Grunwald in 1410, a X-XI century helmet made of gold plated metal belonging to Mieszko I or Bolesław Chrobry, sabers, swords and uniforms belonging to Marshal Józef Piłsudski and General Władysław Sikorski. The biggest attraction, however, are the tanks, military vehicles and planes standing in the open-air park in front of the building.The forecourt of the museum houses several dozen armoured vehicles, artillery pieces and aircraft, an eclectic mix of Soviet, western and Polish equipment, mostly from the World War II era.
