Dear friends! I'm happy to share with you some of the footage from the last two weeks of Jade Quarry Monday (and Tuesday) matches in this video! I hope that this upload will inspire you to view our PvP community in a different light and encourage you to help us grow! As you may know from my previous community post, the bots have now returned to Jade Quarry in vast numbers once again. Some of their names have changed, given that those accounts were banned by ArenaNet, but some remain the same. Let me be clear: botting for selfish gain should never be a part of any gaming experience, and especially not a part of a game that has entered a stage of resurrection. It occurs to me that some people are not aware of the Code of Conduct botting breaks as well as farming with bots. It is an exploitation of resources and game manipulation, and if you partake in it, then you are a part of the problem on the bigger scale. While it is ok to enter matches and get some Zcombat quests done, farming faction to topple the economy is not. It is amazing to me that some players still justify it, claiming that JQ is dead and this is the only way to play. This is not true. Not only is Jade Quarry given the opportunity to return, but the event was meant to be extended to two more days per week if people participate. Yet some refuse to attend and wait for bots to show up for easy cash. If I take those who complain about our games and put them on Kurz's or Luxon's side, we could have enough for a full team. So why not just play instead of being a shitter? If all those who complain would help us grow the event instead, then it would become consistent, like Fort Aspenwood, lasting for 3 days in a row. In the meantime, if you like what you are seeing in these videos and you enjoyed our time together in JQ, I encourage you to report, report, and report, even if you are just getting your quests done. Keep reporting. Anet will respond when mass reports are filed, just like in AB. I will leave you with this food for thought. Ultimately it is up to you what happens with Jade Quarry and your actions wil lshape its future. After all, I am just a messenger. :) Olga P.S ( I dont wanna hear the "anet doent care, they wont do anything" nonsense! If enough reports are filed like we did for the Alliance Battles, they will listen.). Perhaps its also a good idea to advise them to hire some help for Stephen to help with tickets, God knows they can afford it. Code of Conduct violation: "ArenaNet's Code of Conduct clearly addresses and prohibits match manipulation and exploitation within the Services, particularly during Player-vs-Player (PvP) gameplay. What is considered match manipulation? Match manipulation encompasses any action taken to fix or manipulate the outcome of a match or to alter or manipulate the rankings or ratings of the ladder. It also includes actions that disrupt other users' experiences by not actively participating in good faith (e.g., “griefing” or “leeching”). What is considered exploitation? Exploitation refers to taking advantage of bugs or features in a way that allows players to gain an unfair gameplay advantage over other players or that otherwise harms the game, community, or economy." Instructions on effective bot reports: 1. Get into the JQ game with bots. 2. Click on each bot name and individually report them while in game for botting (duh) (on both Luxon and Kurzick). 3. Take screenshots or videos of bots inside Jade Quarry doing bot things 4. Open up a ticket with ArenaNet claiming that our PVP matches are being ruined by botting activity, and attach bot names and screenshots of video evidence.
