On February 28th 1975 the London Underground rail system, or the "Tube" as it is known, suffered its worst disaster to date when a fully loaded commuter train was driven at full speed into a dead end at Moorgate underground station. 43 people died and 74 were hospitalized, and to this day the motive behind this accident remains unclear. The Moorgate Disaster is one of rail's great unsolved mysteries.....
