Following the dropping on the atomic bomb on Hiroshima on August 6, 1945, confusion was high in Japan. Many didn't believe the stories about a single bomb that could wipe out an entire city. One man who did believe was Tsutomu Yamaguchi, who had been injured by the blast. Yamaguchi would have unique story at the end of the war as he left Hiroshima to get to his home in Nagasaki where he would become one of the few who would survive two atomic bombings. NOTE: At 45:39, for reasons that I can’t explain other than that this was shot near the end of the trip and my brain was fried, I inadvertently say “April 1945” instead of “August 1945.” Apologies for the error.
