Four Russian helicopters are destroyed in Ukrainain HIMARS attack on Belgorod

Four Russian helicopters were destroyed as Ukrainian military launched a missile strike on a parking lot of Russian Mi-8 and Ka-52 helicopters in Russia’s border Belgorod region with the use of HIMARS, Ukraine’s Special Operations Forces reproted. The operation was carried out by special operations forces, in cooperation with the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense. Special Operations Forces revealed that Ukrainian troops used US-supplied HIMARS systems to destroy four Russian attack helicopters in Belgorod Oblast in a single strike. The video released by the Special Operation Forces shows drone footage capturing four missile strikes, each followed by large explosions. The Ka-52 is an attack helicopter that the Russian army uses for reconnaissance and attacks on targets on the ground. The Mi-8 transport helicopters are used by Russian troops to transport personnel and cargo, as well as to support ground operations. All helicopters were destroyed by missile strikes behind enemy lines, where Russians had created a platform for aircraft to jump off - a camouflaged position for the rapid movement of aircraft or for surprise attacks on the Security and Defense Forces of Ukraine."The enemy once again thought that deep in the rear they were unreachable. We have once again proven that there is nothing unreachable for the Special Operations Forces," the military noted.
