For this sunglasses campaign, the client wanted a Mediterranean vibe. So naturally I jetted off to the Med to shoot it on location. Or did I? In fact, this photoshoot took place in my studio – and those weren’t even real palm fronds! Check out the video to discover how I created that hard imitation sunlight, the Mediterranean-style textured wall, and of course those palm frond shadows. Here’s a clue: it involved a coat hanger, a pair of scissors, and some plain white paper. Fashions may change over the years, but effective photography techniques never go out of style.
