Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is a Deluxe Resort that’s located near Magic Kingdom and Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows. The resort is inspired by the South Pacific and will forever be a classic Walt Disney World Resort hotel, especially since it first opened on Oct. 1, 1971, the same day Disney’s Contemporary Resort and Magic Kingdom opened. This is 1 of 8 Deluxe Resort hotels (not including Deluxe Villas) on Disney World property. The resort is known for having access to the Monorail, along with its iconic porte cochere entrance. The Polynesian Resort features monorail access to both Magic Kingdom and Epcot. It is also home to some of the most popular dining options on Disney World property, including 'Ohana and Trader Sam's.
