Welcome to my first Crafting tutorial video! In this video, I'll be showing you the basics of resin casting. If you are a beginner to resin casting and want to learn how to make a proper cure then this is just for you! Please don't get discouraged as I know there is a lot of steps to take in. And do not stress if you don't get it right the first time. Most of us casters makes mistakes in the beginning. But if you keep at it and use patience, it's a lot of fun to do and there are so many possibilities out there! So use this tutorial as a training guide before you graduate to the real stuff. ;) If there's any questions you have or want to make a request on what you would like to learn, you can let me know in the comments section and I'll see what I can do. :) What you'll need: -Two Part resin. ( I used Ice resin for this project. but you can use any brand. I used easy cast the first time I started casting.) -Rubber or latex gloves -Small measuring cups -Flat wooden sticks or plastic silverware (excluding forks) -mold release spray or baby oil -cloth or paper towel to blot the access oil -colored pigment powder or eyeshadow if you don't have the special kind Plastic Molds or silicone Molds. Both can be found on Amazon.com A few safety tips to keep in mind: Make sure you have a clean and ventilated area. Cover your entire workspace with paper or any other protective shield so that cleanup can be easy at the end of your casting. Always wear protective gear when Resin Casting and wear clothes that you don't mind getting messed up or wear an apron to protect your clothing. Keep all projects away from Children and Pets while you're working. Resin cures best when in a warm area. will not cure properly if the area is too cold. Each cure should take at least 1-2 days to become solid depending on what brand you use.
