This River Will Never Look The Same - Kayak Fishing The Guadalupe River 2 Weeks Before Dire Flooding

Bremen, Collon, and myself set out on the Guadalupe river near Hunt Texas for a nice peaceful day of kayak fishing. Little did we know 2 weeks later this entire river would be flooded. Not just any flood, but one of the deadliest floods in modern times. More than 135 people have died, and I'm sure there will be more to come. This part of the river holds a special place in my heart. I grew up on this river. I went to scout camp at Bear Creek on this river. I have a TON of memories here, and this river will never look the same. My heart goes out to those who lost someone. We needed rain, but not like this. I'll certainly be back to this area once things are cleaned up and the madness has slowed down.
