Episode 117 Thank you to all the subscribers and followers for helping on the last two fundraisers to rescue a Belgian Draft horse filly, 5 donkeys, a Clydesdale, grey Percheron team, a Belgian Draft horse mare and gelding from shipping to slaughter over the last few weeks! The Clydesdale and Grey Percheron pair were at Fountain Hill Horse Company in Arkansas. The Belgians all came from Bowie Texas Livestock and the donkeys came from Wish Upon a Horse in McLean, Texas. On April 3, 2025, I was tagged in a post on Facebook about a Clydesdale and a team of grey Percherons that were in danger of shipping to slaughter. Romeo, a 15 year old, 17.1 hands, grey Percheron gelding is bonded to Juliet, a 14 year old 17.1 hand, grey Percheron mare. The Clydesdale is a 5 years old 18.1 hands gelding. They were scheduled to ship to slaughter on Monday, April 8th and because of you they were saved! These horses deserve a place to retire in dignity and grace after all their years of working! The Belgian Draft horses filly rescued the week before arrived at the farm and this week we took her to the vet for a check up. This video is about how the filly is doing since joining the herd, how the Clydesdale and percheron team are doing and an announcement about an extra traveler (Percheron mare) coming to the farm with the Belgians from Bowie! We have a fundraiser going for the extra traveler that was added to this rescue on Monday April 8th to cover the cost of her bail.
