Weird Door Restrictor? Mitsubishi Traction Elevators-The Nathan Hotel-Hong Kong

As of right now, I am in San Francisco filming more elevator videos! I plan to make my first ever vlog of my trip down there. If all goes well and I finish editing on time, it should be up by August 4th! This vlog will NOT be focused on elevators, but rather my experience during my trip as a whole and how a traditional vlog would be for someone who, say, doesn't film elevators. Just trying something new and I hope you guys enjoy it. Anyway, these elevators are cool Mitsubishis. There are two other ones that serve the floors these don't. What is that thing up there? Is that a door restrictor? I recall seeing a video about something like that a long time ago but I don't quite remember who made it. I like the blue buttons and the voice. These have what I call the "opposite chimes." I don't know why but the elevator makes this weird hum/buzzing sound as it moves. New San Francisco video will return next week!
