In Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State, a quiet revolution in education and environmental awareness is taking shape. At Emmanuel Anglican Primary School, pupils who once only saw computers in textbooks now have access to a fully equipped tech hub — a powerful bridge between potential and possibility. The project, led by the Adeola Azeez Community Care Foundation in collaboration with Teach For Nigeria and partners including First Bank of Nigeria, Providus Bank, Microsoft, Leadway Assurance, and Julius Berger Nigeria, is built on a simple belief: every child deserves digital opportunity. With dignitaries in attendance — including Bamidele Abiodun and Noimot Salako-Oyedele — the launch marked more than a donation. It was a commitment to equity, innovation, and Nigeria’s digital future. But the story doesn’t end with computers. Through EcoLab, the sustainability innovation arm of Innov8 Hub, students at Nigeria-Ghana International School discovered how creativity can transform everyday waste into value. Plastic bottles, fabric scraps, paper, and wood pieces became tools for imagination, confidence, and problem-solving. What began as a simple question — What is waste? — evolved into a powerful shift in perspective. With hands-on guidance, curiosity turned into innovation, proving that the journey to a greener future starts with empowered young minds. Inspired by global environmental storytelling like The War Between the Land and the Sea, this outreach shows that awareness doesn’t only live on big screens. Real change also happens in classrooms, workshops, and communities.
