I attempt and fail three tacks before jibing in order to get back in the channel and head south. The wind and waves were coming from the east-northeast. I couldn't establish enough upwind speed to get the bow across the wind, so I carefully and successfully jibed instead. This was my second jibe of the day. I ended up doing several more as tacking remained difficult due to heavy waves. Sailed a Com-Pac Picnic Cat in Apalachicola Bay.
