With the whole Covid-19 Outbreak/ Pandemic going on lately... there's been a lot of extra time to work on the classic cars due to social distancing/ isolating. So... lets start a new project! We've had this 1977 Lincoln Versailles sitting around the yard for over 2 years now just waiting for its time to be organ donor. Well, last fall I came across a solid rolling 1966 Mustang Convertible for a reasonable price and have been sitting on it just waiting for some decent weather. Now that its spring time... and I have more time due to obvious reasons, lets get her done! The Lincolns heart is a 351W backed by a C4 transmission that "SHOULD" slide perfectly into the mustang. The Lincoln also sports a 9" differential with factory rear disc brakes. Im not sure if i'l be using the 9 inch on the convertible as I purchased a 1966 8 inch rear differential for $125. We're going try and utilize as much of the Lincolns parts as possible on our cars to stretch it dollar. Stay tuned for part 2 where we install the 351W into the 1966 Mustang Convertible! Hope Everyone is be cautious and staying healthy during these times. Leave a comment below about what you're doing to keep busy during your self isolation periods. Any cool projects? Let me know!
