Fujifilm Film Simulation Fuji Velvia Example Photos

Fujifilm have a number of film simulations in their digital camer's, and in this video I will be showcasing the Fuji Velvia simulation. Fuji Velvia was a favourite colour positive (slide) film for many landscape photographers due to it's high colour saturation and contrast. The Digital version, the Fujifilm Velvia Simulation is great in that it enhances the colours, but it handles the dynamic range so much better than the original slide film. In the original slide film the shadows were really dark with little detail and the highlights were colourful. The digital Fuji Velvia is technically better, but I prefer looking at the original slide scans. That could just be me being nostalgic. Either way, I really love the way that Fuji have replicated an old favourite film, Fuji Velvia into their modern digital cameras.
