118 Year Old RARE Railroad Grade Watch with Serious Issues!

This 118 year old, rare Elgin Grade 280 was the highest end railroad grade pocket watch of its time. Sadly, due to some not so good repair work in the past, it ended up with a lot of damage, the most serious having been done to the balance wheel. The watch had been fitted with the incorrect balance staff and that resulted in very bad warping of the balance wheel arms... among other things. I do my best to straighten the balance wheel, but but damage is so severe, that this once very precise timepiece is now somewhat limited in its ability to keep time. THIS IS NOT A TUTORIAL.
