#philippines #filipina #expatlife We’re safe and well — thank you to everyone who reached out after the earthquakes. 🙏 Our hearts go out to all those affected across Mindanao and the Philippines. Welcome to our mountain property update! Over the past six weeks, so much has happened: We welcomed three new puppies while caring for our dog and keeping life moving in the midst of everything A 7.4-magnitude earthquake, followed by a 6.9 tremor nearby, shook us — but we’re okay We installed electrical service, began building the screen porch addition that will nearly double our living space Harvested cacao / chocolate fruit, shared with neighbors We planted Bermuda grass in a challenging, high-rain environment (sometimes washed away), so we used tarps to protect it Purchased a lawnmower, a refrigerator, and our first piece of furniture (bunk beds carried in 250 m) The neighboring property brought equipment and asked to push fill dirt onto our steep land — we’re working through that with care We acquired a new parcel (approx. 17 × 40 m) with a retaining wall, hoping to build something with a view someday Our bongo truck overheated while hauling 1,300 lbs of tile up the mountain, but Chrissy’s brother-in-law tore it apart, fixed it, and we improved some parts We made other truck upgrades, stabilized washed-out road access, and kept pushing forward This isn’t just a home update — it’s a story of perseverance, mountain-property engineering, and life on the land in the Philippines. 🔍 Why you’ll want to watch This video dives deep into construction, home additions, hardware store visits, bathroom & kitchen fixtures, landscaping, site preparation, and rugged infrastructure in the Philippine mountains. That means it’s relevant to brands and advertisers in home improvement, tools, appliances, real estate, eco-build, solar, plumbing, HVAC, and local hardware. Because we also touch on Filipina relationships, owning land in the Philippines, retirement, cost of living, and Pakikipagsapalaran in the provinces, this gives your brand access to a rich, engaged audience who care about real-life stories, building projects, and life in the Philippines. ✅ Call to Action & Links If you want support, follow along, or work with us: 📘 Chrissy’s Open Source Social Media Book (Amazon): https://a.co/d/dd5dEz0 📅 Schedule a Free 10-Minute Consultation / Meet & Greet: https://flymetothephilippinesconsulta... ▶️ More home building in PH & mountain property videos: [Link to playlist or related videos] 👍 If you enjoyed this, hit Subscribe, ring the Bell, and like & comment — it really helps us get seen 🔑 Highlights mountain property new home construction Philippines building in the Philippines home addition & screen porch hardware store, appliances, refrigerator landscaping, Bermuda grass buying land Philippines cost of living Philippines retirement in the Philippines Filpina / Filipina relationships owning land Philippines Thank you so much to all who sent messages.
