Across science, spirituality, and the world’s great traditions, a single question keeps returning: What is fundamental? In this video, I reflect on something that’s become increasingly clear while making this channel and reading the comments. Beneath our different beliefs, labels, and arguments, there seems to be one shared thread running through everything. Different cultures name it differently. Some call it God. Some call it consciousness. Some refuse to name it at all. This is an invitation to look underneath the words, doctrines, and dogmas, and notice what science and ancient wisdom traditions alike seem to be pointing toward. Something that can be directly experienced. I share my own journey from scientific materialism and atheism, through a direct experience of oneness, and why I now believe that truth is found not in clinging to beliefs, but in recognising where traditions overlap rather than where they differ. If any teaching leads to more compassion, presence, humility, and love, then perhaps it’s touching that deeper thread. This video is an invitation to pause, to soften certainty, and to rest for a moment in the mystery of being alive. *** Ways to Support This Channel *** 📚 Further Reading 📚 Read more about the topics covered in this video by using these affiliate links to buy these great books.
