Day 46 of reading the Bible in 365 days and sharing my SOAP journaling along the way. Today’s reflection is on Exodus 40:34-35, where the cloud covers the tent of meeting and the glory of the Lord fills the tabernacle. This moment is the fulfillment of what the book of Exodus has been moving toward from the beginning. God did not rescue Israel from Egypt merely to free them from slavery, but to bring them into His presence. The same God who descended on Mount Sinai now comes to dwell in the midst of His people. The glory filling the tabernacle shows that the Lord has kept His promise. Redemption leads to relationship. Deliverance leads to dwelling. These verses remind us that God’s ultimate purpose is not only to save, but to be with His people.
