#multisensory #dyslexia #neurodiversity Today's video is important to anyone who thinks that to help with dyslexia or any other neurodiverse condition is a one shoe fits all. It is not the case!! I explore a multi-sensory approach for my clients, using a range of materials, scents, colours and more to evoke memory. I have used this approach many times in my career and one day my friend asked me to help his 12 year old son with his spelling, especially the school name. We sat down with our supply of bright paper, pens and scented glue and got to work. After our session I asked if this was a useful experience, and whilst it did help the boy, I was not convinced that he was 100% satisfied. I asked and LEARNT that actually the young boy said that perhaps turning the spelling into a song!
